Today Apple released a new update for iOS handhelds, which is release 4.3.3
Apple’s response to the tracking bug came sooner rather than later and it already announced the release iOS 4.3.3. The update is specifically designed to address the tracking problem that has mesmerized the mainstream media. For those who are not aware the iPhone database stores months of information, although Apple said anything more than a week’s worth of data was unnecessary. This function has been labeled as a „bug” by iPhone and the iOS 4.3.3 is here to prove it.
The iOS will arrange things so that the location database will no longer be backed up to iTunes and the number of days logged, will be reduced. Also when Locations Services are off, the database will be deleted.
In addition to all that the iOS will improve battery life and bring “iPod bug fixes.” Boy Genius Report correctly predicted the release of iOS 4.3.2 within a two-week time frame last month, but the imminent release of iOS 4.3.3 should surprise no one. Last week Apple saw the necesity to issue a press conference mentioning that a fix was on its way and also made company executives, including CEO Steve Jobs available for an interview.
Currently my iPhone is already plugged to iTunes downloading the new update, while I’m posting this article.
To all the iPhoners out there, All the best with the new update.
